At YES Medspa we offer a range of AlumierMD chemical peels. These medical-grade chemical peels use high potency ingredients such as lactic acid, Glycolic acid, Resorcinol or salicylic acid to chemically exfoliate the skin by dissolving its outermost dead, dry layers. We can safely treat everything from hyperpigmentation, acne scarring, fine lines, wrinkles and other textural concerns. These peels are completely customizable and are designed to treat a range of skin conditions A peel protocol will be designed to best fit your skin and can contain any combination of the below chemical peels.

AHA Duo

These chemical peel uses a combination of 20% glycolic acid for deeper exfoliation and 10% lactic acid for brightening and hydration, this alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) peel is a great choice for normal/combination skin that requires a balanced treatment. It can be used on more sensitive skin types and even be used to help reduce rough textural concerns.

BHA 20

This AlumierMD chemical peel uses 20% salicylic acid to gently exfoliate the skin and improve the appearance of acne. This peel is specifically formulated for oily, acne-prone or congested skin. Oil-soluble and anti-inflammatory, this salicylic acid peel penetrates deep into your pores to exfoliate away trapped sebum and debris, while reducing overall redness in the skin.

Glow Peel

The AlumierMD signature peel is the Glow Peel. This peel combines 7% salicylic acid, 7% lactic acid and 7% resorcinol to treat a variety of skin concerns. Deeply penetrating but very tolerable, resorcinol supports the action of the acids in clearing sebaceous problems and rejuvenating the epidermis. This is a   popular choice for patients that love a Jessner-type peel, but prefer more controlled peeling and more comfortable and manageable down-time.

Power Glow

As a physician-led medical spa, YES Medspa is able to offer you the AlumierMD Power Glow Peel. The Power Glow Peel contains the same ingredients as the Glow peel, but at a much higher potency. Your peel will consist of 14% salicylic acid, 14% lactic acid and 14% resorcinol.  This peel can be customized to fit your skin’s needs, however due to its high potency and moderate-level of peeling, this peel is only suitable for Fitzpatrick skin types I- III.  A series of peels is recommended for best results and you will only be offered a Power Glow peel once your skin has been pre-conditioned. Moderate peeling and downtime is expected with this peel.

What to Expect

Chemical peels are most commonly recommended to treat skin concerns on the face, however, we can also treat the neck, décolletage and hands.

Chemical peel treatments typically take from 20 to 40 minutes to perform, depending on the specific peel being used, areas being treated, and the condition of the skin. The skin is cleansed and prepped prior to the peel application. The peel is then applied to the skin in thin layers, allowed to take effect on the skin in between each layer. Depending on the type of peel you receive, the peel will either be neutralized and removed or left to self neutralize on the skin overnight. Over a period of up to 2 weeks, the treated layers of skin gradually exfoliate and peel off, revealing fresh new skin.

With all AlumierMD peels, a post treatment care kit with necessary at home skin care is included in the price of your treatment package. You will be required to use these products for the first 5 days after your treatment to help protect and heal your skin. Sun protection is crucial the days following your chemical peel.

How many treatments are needed?

The number of treatments needed will depend on your specific skin conditions. Although you can see nice results with one treatment, a series of treatments is often recommended to treat more complicated skin conditions. These treatments when performed in a series are spaced 4-6 weeks apart.
