This patient from Richmond BC came to us frustrated about her acne that started popping up during covid. Her skin was very oily and she was on a prescription retinoid daily that was making her skin irritated.

When she came for her consult it was clear that her skin was oily but also inflamed and dry from acne and use of the topical retinoid. Her Skin Specialist advised that she needed to incorporate a form of exfoliation and salicylic acid into her regime, which would allow her to step back the use of her retinoid to be less irritating. She was recommended AlumierMD Hydrasmooth Lotion with 1% encapsulated SA to gently clean out her pores and reduce oil production, and ZO Exfoliating Accelerator to gently exfoliate her skin in conjunction with the retinoid.
