Tummy Tuck Before & After Case 103

This 42-year-old lady wanted to rejuvenate the appearance of her abdomen. She had recently lost approximately 50 pounds through improved diet and exercise. She was bothered by the loose skin, irregular texture and laxity of the abdomen. 

Her abdomen presented with mature stretch marks, skin laxity and an overhang of skin. She also had a scar on the right side of the abdomen down into the deeper tissues.

In order to address these problems an extended tummy tuck was performed.  The muscular and skin layers were tightened with this procedure. Previous surgical scars often influence the plan for rejuvenating the abdomen. Incomplete removal of old scars or an elevated risk of certain complications related to the previous surgery is discussed prior to surgery.

Photos were taken 3 months post-operatively. She has been very pleased with her results.
